Portraits of Auckland

A beautiful location, a climate that encourages year-round activity, a relaxed life-style - Auckland offers enough positives to deserve a place on the list of the world’s best cities to live. Well connected to the world but not too close for comfort, here we can live our own lives and build our own futures.

A book of 120+ images celebrates what is the essence of Auckland: A diverse and vibrant community sharing a beautiful place to live, work and play. The book is currently with the printers and expected to be available for purchase by mid-April 2026, with further details to follow under ’Shop’.

A few of the photos shown below offer a glimpse of the city’s variety, a few others from the book and deemed suited to be hung on a wall are available as limited edition prints - see ‘Shop’ for more information and pricing.

The port is where European Auckland started, but of course Tāmaki Makaurau was already well established. The book acknowledges Te Tiriti / the Treaty of Waitangi between Māori and the English Crown as New Zealand’s founding document.

With an average age below that of NZ and a broad diversity of cultures as reflected in music, visual arts and a variety of fashion and food options, Auckland is a young and vibrant city to live.
