Landscapes

I don’t regard myself as a landscape photographer; most of my photography is dedicated to portraits and street scenes.

But living in New Zealand and travelling around the world it is impossible not to notice and be touched by the variety and beauty of landscapes.

So here are a few of my favourites; and as you will see, the weather doesn’t have the be ‘postcard beautiful’ for landscapes to be.

Ísafjörður, Iceland; after a brief dry spell rain is drifting in again

Mount Aspiring NP, New Zealand; after the rain

Kinderdijk, Netherlands; how the old masters saw the landscape

Picos d”Europa, Spain; chapel for a passing pilgrim

Ilulissat, Greenland; midnight sun

Ambae, Vanuatu; smoke cloud from 2018 volcano eruption

Whangarai Heads; New Zealand; sailing into a dark night ahead
